Far West Auto commenced business in August 2005 with a dedicated team of 21 people.

Our initial promise was to commit to being a customer caring business with a focus on delivering a professional range of services.
Hence we developed our motto of the customer is number one.

We are a one stop shop offering an extensive range of new vehicles from Ford, Hyundai and Mitsubishi and pre-owned vehicles of all makes and models.

Our services extend to spare parts, tyres and service, repair of all makes and models including paint and panel repairs. We are a registered inspection station for same day service.


History

The dealership has serviced the Broken Hill area initially as a Ford dealership from the existing site since 1964 as Argent Motors.
The business changed hands in 1977 and traded as John Williams Motors. In 1980 the dealership became officially multifranchised by acquiring Mitsubishi.

In 1988 John Williams Motors was appointed one of the first Hyundai dealers and over the next 27 years the business grew to become a progressive motor dealership offering city professionalism to Broken Hill.

In August 2005 Mark and Karen Grundy purchased the dealership John Williams Motors to then become Far West Auto.
Mark Grundy had been General Manager of John Williams Motors since 1989 and had worked with the dealer to expand and enhance the business to what it is today.

My business philosophy is that simple success can only be achieved thru good people and I will continue to invest in my people to ensure their growth and job satisfaction which in turn will result in first class service.
